3 Blind mice - 6 billion flies - 9 donuts

Shake piss and puke (not necessarily in that order) left the compound to scout out a possible new ride over the mass border.  Directions to get there were pretty amusing, we got off the rte 5 north exit about 7 miles too soon and started looking for that left turn on "highland"  passing a million roads we were loosing hope but suddenly we went by and underpass, and saw a left that had NO street sign and a dunkin donuts on the corner (THIS HAD TO BE IT), and it was!!  Found the water tower and off we went..  Start was fire roads with bugs to double track with bugs and mud, lots of turns we aimlessly took lefts and rights, got directions from an old guy in the woods with flies all over him, we were all covered with flies, to the labeled K&M trail, rocky double track, to yeti trail, to white trail up to ridge (complete hike a bike - but short)..  Nice view, the ride starts here, crazy rocks at the top to single track, to gnarly downhill, some nice drops, one fun skinny log to balance on, to ARMEGEDON trail (with skull), A bit rockier, single track, getting better..  to rte 202 - the trail continues, should we cross? but of course..  TO white lightning we find sweet obstacles right away, a 2 foot drop followed by large log - No problem for piss and I but shake was still getting his sea legs back..  So this trail kicks ass, rocky penwoodesque single track that follows a REALLY cool ridge that overlooks another ridge across the valley - looks like predator terratory.  I point and say "thats the ridge we are riding back on (quite determined)" although we had no map of this area or description..  WE hit a tee in the trail and take a left finding "hell" trail.  Sure enough (listen to me know) this trail took us on the other valley ridge heading "back home"  this trail was awesome - logs, techs, overlook views on both sides, sumac, bugs, one nice steep downhill, blueberrys, poison berrys, dingle berrys you name it..  Seniore P is back and on FIRE cleaning everything in site, doing gladiator style trail un-maintenance etc...  Shake is getting tired.  at one point we were actually 50 feet from an overlook, where you could remotely see in the distance, the huge 75 foot diameter water tower, which was indeed 50 feet from the car and all downhill I might add. No joke - see pics.  Onward - down, cross fire road to complete hike a bike "well just check it out for a little bit, if it doesn't get any better, well take the fire road back" - yeah right so we took it all the way back to white lightning trail, some sherping was helpful to shake, then we take a fire road anyway downhill loose gravel, I fly down and hit a patch of sumac full speed, I have bright green sumac stains on my arms and that red crap in my eyes, I am fearing extreme brail trail action on the way home if im allergic..  Ok we are back to rte 202, its getting late - where to go??  Hey heres a trail - barbed wire fence to ride over, to res. where we find a cool concrete drainage brook for crash bros to ride in  - see pics, back to RR tracks we wait for the train, ride the rails, ponder suicide, but the bugs were eating us alive anyway..  Back to the car a different route - Fly home with no stop at the donut shop - boo hoo...  Post ride drinks at tapas where I started to fall asleep on some polish lesbians so I went home..  Shake was riddled with bites so bad it looks like he has small pocks.

Extremely nice ride, you guys were very good sports for such an "unexpected!?" adventure.  If that water tower was filled with bug infested college drinking puke, I would take FIVE of them and dump them over each and every office building associated with this email list - just keeping the window cleaners in business - its a viscous cycle
