Its not often that you get a flat an hour before the ride, but Hot lips managed to accomplish this..  50 ft before exit 12, HL flats (her car that is), Focker and I see "bike people" from the commuter lot..  Matt and ally & PMD stop, Matt fix's the flat in record time, I give encouragement in my orange PIT jacket..  The crew assembles Prego dave, HL, Puke, PMD, Focker (lord of the flies), Matt & ally - drive another 50 feet for bathroom and gas (not necessarily in that order)..  Finally we are en-route'..  No Joke - Another 50 ft down the road and we have already lost pregnant Dave (PD & HL)..  Trip to the emergency room or another flat we are thinking - glad we gave them directions...  SH!T, I forgot to call Kenney!!

Ok I didn't have to eat my hat because PD didn't beat us there..  TT and CB (Yes Crash and burn, back from the dead) - were already there..  To the trail - first section, Hot lips gets extreme chain suck, Matt to the rescue (Hot Lips Mechanic?? -PIT crew?? he needs a nickname)..  PMD rides the big log while we wait..  Onward, more rocky single track, to loose rock downhill..  "that was boney" - HLM "yeah that was good" - PM  Focker joins the B-team and bails due to EEGME (Extreme Emotional Gastrointestinal Mayhem Excuse)..  So focker gets a ripped map, and we ride on, more boney down, to Boney (make that way boney) - UP..  Ally (ally#2?) - wants the buff single track route, I lie and say its a bushwack..  And as Homer Simpson once said, "it takes one to lie and one to listen"..  On to rooty single track, to road, finally - new territory for me..  Hey the trail is blue! "every trail here is blue"..  TO high log, 3rd time is a charm for CB - he did a nice big log, over the bars, inverted pushup face plant at some point!  Sweet section, up to fire road, right turn onto flat rock road (although it took me 3 miles to realize that this flat slickrock we were riding on was "flat rock" road).  We find a Steep rock dn for CB, he cleans and almost hits a tree..  (Focker must be on his 4th guiness by now!)..  Hell hollow road, rights should be lefts, "is the map upside down?"  PD wants to get lost (this was obvious to us from the start).. Right on blue, sweet trail, rocky, steep, technical, ends up by the water, cross Hell Hollow road (straight on the right that would have been a left, had we continued straight on HH)..  Onward to Familiar territory for me, Stream Side single track trail - starts with crazy 2 log crossing - PD Cleans in granny one, using both logs..  I finally ride the skinny log after 5 tries, CB cuts his losses..  Singletrack was awesome slow balancy technical stuff - PMD and Ally out front dominating rocks, roots and TIGHT turns..   End of trail a tandem couple appears and wants to talk, impressed with the SIZE of our group..  2 more turns and more S-track, cool stuff - Pine forest, Pine needle, rooty some rocks - What a variety of terrain..  To civilization again - campground..  "Should we take the road back, or the trail"  - Matt the roadie says "NO ROAD"..   So im looking for this little spur of a trail up what I thought was mount misery to get us home, but to no avail, I find a new trail..  Left on blue, AWESOME steep ride able up..  TT Kicked some major ass on the first section, climbing like a mountain goat high on opiates..  BIg Switchbacks, up rock ledges (hike a bike), to mount misery overlook..  Very cool..  OOOO AHHHH UMMM, CB wants to go, I want to sleep.. Time to go down, short, but SWEEEEEET..  Great steep rocky technical down 99% rideable, past rock waterfall, to fire road..  ONward to the actuall trail I was looking for, back on blue..  CB breaks a chain, fixes it, and we take some new lines home..  Focker was so pissed that we made him wait for 3.5 hours that he filled my car with flies..  "This group of riders showed up, rode for like 1 1/2 hours, came back, talked for about an hour.....  While you were gone"     PMD has excess energy, Ally wants it, some quick roadside lesbian action "its happening again", short goodbyes and a long drive home..
