Here we are.......S&B, Derrick (GI-Jane), (Derrick's friend), Web
Mistress, Mike, (Mike's friend), the buda, myself: rookie aka GB, and I
am still learning the rest of the crew's name so sorry guys....fill your
names in later. So to start off, the ride felt somewhat empty without
the PM there due to him needing to ditch us and build ramps in the back
yard for him to play on. QM hates Metacomet so decided to go ride the
New Britain park playground with his dog. The rest of the crew was to
scared from yesterdays bantering so decided to ride elsewhere. First
climb, a nasty start of an uphill which of course Derrick cruises up in
3,1 and one other person clears but cant remember there name for the
life of me. Buda then makes it a point to mention how much he loves
Metacomet and that he visits weekly. First section to the peak at a
motoring pace. Derrick and friend of course, wheelie drops some 4 ft
rock, turn around, huck the rock (wtf is up with these two guys).
"Derrick" give me a holler when you want to show me how to actually ride
the right way. So, on we go past the first ridge. Becomes pretty
technical, most of the crew decides but it in 10th gear and do 40mph.
I've ridden this trail quite a few times and this is by far the fastest
pace yet. Derrick and friend of course, moving through the technicals
like I wouldn't have imagined and didn't think was possible. S&B is on a
loaner from Derrick which he seemed to ride like he had been riding
already for a year. On we go, mostly downhill after the first ridge, one
hike a bike which sucks. Nice views, mostly all ridge riding. Around
7:20 we turn around (due to it being a single track). I manage to keep
up with the crew for roughly 5 minutes until by lung decides to need a
quick transplant. So to make this recap short, last down hill as usual,
pretty darn incredible (really the only reason I enjoy the place so
much). Buda likes it so much he's already asking people to come back
tomorrow for another ride. Crew has a dame good ride down (to fast to
even think what went on). Although Derrick once again just hucking
cliffs, trees, climbing trees, etc on the way down) Then Rookette (Web
Mistress) decides to huck a 188ft drop through two trees onto a small
log into a wheelie drop (PM, I wish we had that on tape), the crew
decides to follow. So ends our ride. Buda gives this ride 5 Puke
Buckets. I disagree, more like two 1/2. Mostly for the decent technicals
and last downhill.

Overall I give this ride 18 fish and a can of Yams with a cold glass of
Guinness. (Where ever I thought of that one??, "PM your starting to F
with my head with your crazy recaps". This recap should have been
written by the PM but he decided to build stunts today instead, or ride
alone somewhere else.
