3 ride recap - No wind means lots of weekend riding Fri - Gilbert state forest in foxboro - Another "quick" solo ride on the way to cape cod. First mile was on fire roads that were flat enough to blade on, THEN I hit the trail. Nice single & double track with technicalities galore. I followed the green loop which the trail marker said was 2.6 miles (after 2.6 miles it said 3 miles, after 3 more miles it said 3.4 miles and another sign said ?20?), so I guess the park ranger is a real bastard like myself (payback is a bitch!). BIG and I mean big rocks, and some great drops, 7 mile rock garden - my neck and shoulders are killing me, will this trail ever end. I did lunge up one nice thigh high rock - well second try after pulling myslelf together and out of the bushes. Loop was 12 miles of awesome riding. 5 full buckets that will definetely spill if you take them on this ride. Sat - Trail of Tears - Centerville cape cod - Moas is back - It was brother jay (MOAS), karen (train wreck) and me. Jay did awesome considering he still has quite a bit of metal in his leg. Nice 10 mile or so loop, with a dozen or so (on and off trail) technical moves - couple of swabs were had. Pretty easy riding - 2 1/2 buckets - followed by japanese food (4 1/2 buckets) - quotes from MOAS "she must have a crumpet up her ass!" - the waitress that tried to get me drunk - no joke "ummm could I get some club soda with this glass of absolute??" Sun. - Kingston woods or should I say Kingston DUMP in plimouth - another MISadventure. Train wreck and I Found the "trailhead" and headed into the woods on some double track. First couple single track side trails we found ended out being over grown - (Freee pine needle flossing - oral hygene on the trail is important). We ended out following this fire road that was covered in trash (enough stuff to furnish an entire home - 15 refrigerators, 8 couches, 5 washers & dryers etc... It appears we are riding in the dump, not kingston woods. The trail then hit a huge sand pit with monster truck sand imprints (interesting riding), found the trail again, but couldn't find any single track that was ride-able. Trail ended in this brand new housing complex (more like a mansion farm) and some lady started yelling at us for tresspassing. >From here it was suburban bushwacking until we hit a main road. Some technicalities were found in the rock garden landscapes of these rich homes (people kept yelling at me!!) - dont they know that the 1st 10' off their yard is owned by ME. Ok - We finally see a STOP sign and eventually hit the main road where we find a good trail (1.5 miles) back to the car train wreck kicked ass. She even beat me up a technical climb!! Then I rode UP some steps at the church and back down Then a nun came out and gave me a "nice bike!" . On the way home train wreck and I stopped for food at the pizza/deli factory and witnessed deli shoppe manager RAGE. This chick was going nuts (I bet her name was lisa!), slamming stuff down yelling at the employes - then with a smile "hi can I help you", I told her she looked beautiful when she was angry, but that didnt help as she was gripping the pizza knife with white knuckles only found on the red trail at mott hill. Rating - get a small metal bucket and spit in it - "twang" thats it - this trail doesn't even get a gag or a dry heave! If you do go make sure and bother everyone in the hood. We followed this ride with roller blading along the canal with white trash spectators (trailer park near by) and many a beached whale (so much for the oil shortage) - moo moo style - yikes!! ( I know - not so P.C. - so sorry). Note to Desjar - english to english recap translator will be available soon! PM
