Important Update: October 1st 2007.  A land owner is having problems with Mountain bikers traveling on his clearly marked private property.  There are MANY ways to ride middlesex without using his piece of land.  I have updated the map showing the area that can no longer be used.  Please comply with the land owners request, I beg you.

There are NO Motorized vehicles allowed here. No dirt bikes.  No ATV's. No automobiles. No Pickups.  No heavy equipment.

Directions - Rte 9 south, through middletown, EXIT 11, right at exit, right at second light, then IMMEDIATELY bear left, then take first left, stay on this curvey road for a short while, you go by a hairpin dirt road left (barely noticable), then couple hundred feet before the road goes up steep hill, take a left onto dirt road and park on right, just after you turn..

Description - Middlesex ride is located in the cockoponset state forest.  The terrain is VERY rocky, technofreakincalities galore, yet very rideable.  Only a couple absolute hike a bikes.  Can you say "welcome to the jungle"?  Lots of mini forests that make you feel like your a lab rat in a maze.  If its 90 degrees out, it will be at least 100 here.

Loops- North side obscure loop route_north.gpx 6.72 miles 613 vertical (jungle to diamonds and everything in between)

Pre-ride Music:   George Clinton - Jungle Boogie or G&R Welcome to the Jungle
Total Miles: 17?
Elevation Change Feet -
Nearest Coffee: DD 170 main street in middletown - exit 15 off rte 9 will get you close I Think..
